Backend API / Microservice Development: REST / GraphQL / gRPC, with Docs, Deploy & Tests

We deliver services that ship, scale and integrate: protocol chosen by use case, complete OpenAPI docs, one-command Docker deploy, unit-test coverage — not a runs-on-my-machine demo.

Where you’re stuck

Endpoints have no docs and no versioning — front-end and third parties integrate by asking around, and one change breaks it

The service runs but has no tests and no monitoring — it breaks under load and you fight fires in production

The monolith keeps growing; you want microservices but fear splitting wrong — auth, rate limiting and deploy are a mess

What you get

  • API design & implementation: REST / GraphQL / gRPC chosen by use case, in Node / Python / Rust
  • OpenAPI / Schema docs: self-describing endpoints so front-end and third parties self-serve
  • Auth, rate limiting & error conventions: unified authentication, quotas and error codes — predictable behavior
  • Unit tests & load testing: critical paths covered, concurrency and stability data delivered
  • Dockerized deploy + CI/CD: one-command deploy with rollback, monitoring and alerting configured
  • Full source code + deploy scripts + API docs — operable independently on acceptance

How we deliver

01
Scope

Map business and data models, define protocol and API contract; proposal and fixed quote

02
Build

Develop by module against the contract, docs and tests shipped in step, each acceptable

03
Load-test

End-to-end verification of concurrency, faults, auth and rate limiting; stability report

04
Deliver

Source + deploy + docs, trained to operate it; invoice on acceptance

Fit & outcomes

  • Endpoints have docs, versioning and tests — front-end and third parties self-integrate
  • Unified auth, rate limiting and error codes — predictable, monitorable behavior
  • Docker + CI/CD, one-command deploy with rollback — no firefighting under load
  • The service is yours — independently scalable and operable

FAQ

Which should I pick — REST, GraphQL or gRPC?

It depends: REST for public, cache-friendly APIs; GraphQL when front-end field needs vary and you want fewer round-trips; gRPC for high-performance, strongly-typed internal service-to-service calls. Many systems mix them. We recommend by your callers, performance and team stack in the proposal and write it into the contract — never new tech for its own sake.

Can it integrate with our existing systems and database?

Yes. The API layer is designed to connect to existing databases and internal services, isolating changes through an adapter layer so we avoid touching your current data structures. The integration scope is confirmed in the proposal and written into the contract.

Does delivery include tests and docs, or just code?

Included. OpenAPI/Schema docs, critical-path unit tests and Docker deploy scripts are all part of the deliverables, not a paid add-on. That’s the difference from drop-the-code-and-leave.

Who is responsible if performance breaks after launch?

Delivery includes load-test data and monitoring/alert config, with concurrency and stability targets in the acceptance criteria. During warranty, in-scope performance issues are ours to fix; scaling beyond the agreed capacity is assessed as a new requirement.
