Production data acquisition & time-series storage
Talk to PLCs over industrial protocols, land data in TimescaleDB, ship dashboards and alerts.
This page is a capability demo and reference build. The UI is illustrative — not a delivered artifact for a specific client.
Background
Production data hurts at both ends: acquisition must handle messy industrial protocols and reconnect/replay; storage must absorb high-frequency time-series writes yet stay queryable. If the ETL in between drops or corrupts points, the dashboard lies and alerts cry wolf.
How we do it
01 Protocol integration: Modbus/OPC-UA to PLCs, reconnect/replay, dedup
02 ETL cleaning: field normalization, unit unification, outlier tagging
03 Time-series storage: TimescaleDB partitioning and compression, write + query balanced
04 Dashboards & alerts: live curves, threshold alerts, anomaly marks
What you get
- ✓ Acquisition agent (protocol adapters + replay)
- ✓ ETL cleaning pipeline and data dictionary
- ✓ TimescaleDB modeling, partition and compression strategy
- ✓ Dashboard + alert rules + ops manual
Outcomes & acceptance
- Acceptance standard: auto-reconnect and replay — no dropped points
- Time-series queryable at second granularity, history stays fast
- Configurable threshold alerts, anomalies marked and traceable
- An extensible pipeline — new tags plug in
